For senior executives navigating the transition from corporate career to independent practice. No gurus. No hacks. No shortcuts.
In 2007 I brought ERA Group into Germany — a global network of independent consultants founded in the UK in 1992. Over the following eighteen years I helped build it across Europe and internationally, eventually taking on global responsibility for the network's expansion. By the time I stepped back from my executive role, ERA had grown to over 1,000 consultants operating across 60 countries.
I hold a doctorate in entrepreneurship. My research was specifically about why and how people build things — what drives them, what stops them, what determines whether what they build compounds over time or quietly runs out of steam.
That combination — eighteen years of operational reality watching senior executives navigate this transition, and the academic framework for understanding why — is the foundation of everything I build here.

Most executive transition content focuses on one question: how do I replace my income? That's a real and important question. This book answers a more interesting one.
How do you build something that compounds? Not just fees, but structure, leverage, reputation, and — in time — equity. The Second Curve Architecture is the framework I've built across two decades and over a thousand executives to answer exactly that.
